  At the base of the Ramparts in the beautiful Tonquin Valley we stayed at Tonquin Valley Backcountry Lodge. After a long day of hiking upon arriving at the lodge we were welcomed with smiles and a cozy cabin and asked how we wanted our steak done! Needless to say noone goes hungry here. It is amazing that these wholesome meals are prepared on site. Cabins are very clean and equipped with a lantern, wash basin, wood stove, and snuggly warm beds. There are many trails to explore, and the knowledgeable staff are happy to guide you toward a number of fantastic day hikes. We highly recommend staying at Tonquin Valley Backcountry Lodge and enjoying this unique experience. Thank you Sara and Kable and girls for everything. This was an amazing experience.   I’ve skiied into the Tonquin Backcountry Lodge several times, and have always enjoyed the trip and the surroundings. The accommodations/cabins are delightfully rustic, the food is delicious and plentiful, and the hosts are lovely and welcoming.
