  One of the best restaurants in Jasper with a fantastic view of the train station and the mountains. You can often see trains coming in and Elk crossing over the tracks. Always lovely service, and delicious specials, a real taste of the Rockies. The crab cakes are an absolute must, and the schnitzel is among the finest I've had outside of Germany.

  As for the actual dishes, the main course is poorly portioned and you'll be hungry afterwards. This is not acceptable for a restaurant asking $20-$25 for a basic entree.

  Once seated, we made the mistake of telling the waitress that we weren't ready to order the first time they asked. It took 15 minutes before they came by again.

  Overall, the dinning experience was not a pleasant one because of the noise, but the service was great and the food was still good enough to call it a fair night.

  Once we ordered, it took 45 minutes before the appetizer came out, and another 10-15 for the main course. Even then, I had to mention to the waitress that people who sat down 20-30 minutes after us were getting their orders.

  At the end of it all, when we waited an additional 25 just for the bill, they mixed up our bill with a single party. I mentioned this to the waitress and to a manager who said they'll fix it. They never did, and after another 10 minute wait I got tired and just paid the wrong bill and left. It wasn't worth full price anyways. Total time just waiting (not including eating): 2 hours, 10 minutes.

  Otherwise, the food was pretty good. Everything was cooked well and the portions sizes were decent. We did find ourselves wanting more sauce on our mains and the meals that said "crusted" weren't really crusted at all.

  Horrible experience from start to finish. The food, the prices, and the competence of the staff. Seating estimated wait times are nowhere near accurate and they'll have you come back multiple times.

  NOISY! This is definitely not the place to go if you want to have a quiet dinner. It was a lot like being in a nightclub.

  Highly recommend the pork appetizer. It was the best thing I have tasted all year and I normally do not eat or like pork. Drinks were spot on and my crab was good. The waitress was awesome. Will come again.

  The worst part of the experience, the appetizer had a long hair in it, like they don't wear hair nets. Upon bringing this up, the waitress just nodded and said "Oh, okay" like it was something they saw frequently.
